Discover... yourself!

"We didn't realise we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun."

In today's fast-paced culture, it can be difficult to unplug and disconnect from the stressful world around us, and for teens, this stress is felt even more acutely. This, coupled with the effects of the pandemic, has created a need to foster real and meaningful connections between people, and to develop the skills and confidences required to succeed in the world of post-secondary education and the workforce.

And yet, just as there appears to be a social disconnect, so too is there a natural disconnect, wherein today's teens are far removed from the benefits of simply being outside and having fun. Being outside is good for your soul, and we firmly believe that the best place learn, discover, and grow up is in the great outdoors.

With this in mind, Red Rock aims to offer an old-fashioned solution to these modern-day problems, and to change the lives of teens one adventure at a time. With Red Rock, you'll return confident, capable, and ready to take on the future, armed with skills and memories to last a lifetime.

  • Camping under the stars
  • Late-night storytelling and ghost stories
  • A relaxed, back-to-nature approach
  • Close connections with other adventurers

Program Overview

Our teen encounters are 3-day, 2-night roaming adventures that are truly wild. We spend the entirety of our time outdoors, away from fixtures, features, tech, or amenities. Our adventures are self-sustaining, and allow you to truly get away from it all.

The trajectory of the adventure is up to you, as we explore woods, wilderness and coastline. We experience hiking, fishing, cooking, swimming, fire making, navigating, all while discovering the beauty of Prince Edward Island. Campfires, story-telling, and ghostly thrills await us when the sun goes down, while afterward we'll tent under the stars.

Whether it be to prove yourself, to achieve a goal, or to have the greatest experience of your summer, our Teen Encounter weekends are thrilling, challenging, exciting, and will leave you with memories that will last a lifetime.

“I really wanted to try something different this summer, and to meet some new people. Red Rock let me do it, and I learned so much about PEI too. It was so cool hanging out with people from other schools, and getting to know them."   - Ayda

“This whole thing was our coach's idea. She thought it would be a great team-bonding thing, since we take in players from all over the Maritimes, and she was right. It was the perfect adventure."   - Mandie
